Betty You don’t have clue

Table 51
We Get It On.

Well it’s that time of the year again I suppose.  About every two years in summer, the guys from The Rumble Jetts deliver a new album.  After “Roostina” & “Cool Down Baby”, two remarkable cool albums the band comes up with a third one… well that’s is to say a nameless mini album with only four tunes on!  As it seems the CD is not commercially available through their website, but on their myspace site you’ll find a big giglist.  I’m not pretty sure what’s going on with the band but this often means only two things, either a new record is going to be produced and this is more or less a teaser or the band suffers from some big problems.

Luckily for us the Rumble Jetts are alive and kicking and as you can find on  Myspace the band is working on a new album for this winter.  The mini album is by all means a teaser of what is to come and be sure it’s red hot and rocking.  On “Betty You Don’t Have a clue” the band sounds a little bit like Los Lobos in their heydays.  “Mr Greyhound” sounds more classic in approach something I really dig. A little country and a lot of Rockabilly that’s what it is for sure.  “Table 51” starts with some skin beating and nice guitar riff, only to become another great rocking tune. Closing the sampler is “We Get it on”. This one does get a more roots rock approach then the other ones but still it contains enough rock and roll to call it rockabilly.

Calling themselves the hottest band going, this Hi-Octane rockabilly trio, hailing from Missouri seems to have us ready for another full album full of hot rocking tunes.  If this album truly is a teaser then I’m sure we are in for some great fun.
